worm love -- NOT!

This morning two of our IT team aliases got e-mail from the Storm Worm. Both of them are wishing us a Happy New Year along with giving us links to rootkit-infested websites. These aren't the first ones I've received, but it's the first time that two arrived in tandem directed toward the folks I see regularly. So my right brain whimsically contemplated a response, and by the time the left brain translated it into words it came out thus:

This is proof that the Storm Worm loves us and wants us to be happy!

And then I realized that unless the sarcasm and content are analyzed fully this could help sustain a puppy-dog-loyal kind of dysfunctional belief system comparable to the house elves in the Harry Potter novels.
