Dec. 16th, 2007 08:20 pmAlong with getting a new tree stand last weekend the girls added one impulse item to the grocery shopping trip: a coconut. In the zoo of Girl Scouts and schools doing Christmas caroling and plays the coconut lay untouched until the lull of yesterday. I got the hammer, we punched holes top and bottom, and we drained the milk into a cup. End result of the experiment: the girls don't like coconut milk.
We saved the nut until daylight today (and that opportunity still wasn't until after the two dress rehearsals of the Christmas pageant). Again applying the hammer to the nut I extracted some of the meat. End result of the experiment: the girls don't like coconut meat.
Right now they're playing sweet shop with the candy canes they got after the Christmas pageant. They're using the Advent candles to burn the canes into a minty caramel. Hmmm, I think maybe I'd best log off and go supervise that ...
