the rain in Spain ...
Nov. 2nd, 2007 10:09 amHalloween went well. There are few occasions when I let the digital camera out of my pocket for a day, but this was one. My elder daughter got a shot of herself wearing exactly the same Vamptessa dress as her lang arts/soc studies teacher from last year.
If you can't have moon and wind blowing leaves then a fog which lets flashlights cast a beam all the way across the street is the next best thing. On the other hand, I ended the evening by carrying the littler one all the way home. I don't really want to coddle her, but I enjoy that so much, and I know it won't last forever.
Remember, remember, the 4th of November. Okay, yeah, I know, Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament on the 5th, but here we won't get a Monday holiday for that. Instead, Seabright will morris, silently, on the eponymous beach, right over near the San Lorenzo rivermouth, with a fire, and maybe a Guy again. That will serve as a beginning reminder to try putting on an east end accent in preparation for travelling back to morris at Dickens Fair next month.
But in the mean time there's a proprietary and poorly documented C++ API standing between me and catching images from a new guide camera.
