Thursday I gathered a few untended rotting apples and toted them up to a resting place. Near that spot Friday I saw this guy again, but he was spooked by traffic. I found one apple which they had missed and returned to roll it toward him, but I missed and he departed. I tossed the apple at one of his does. I've never seen a deer munching so happily as that.
