surf and sky
Aug. 19th, 2007 10:54 pmThe only drawback of the beach is that it's so sandy, but that doesn't really bother me or the girls. Today was a good day to try out new boogie boards, for there was basically no surf.
The evening sky was not so gritty. (Okay, well, there were a few very nice early evening meteors while we watched, but that's still a lot less grit than we brought home from the beach.) This morning Endeavour undocked from ISS, and tonite we watched them. Endeavour was only a few seconds ahead of ISS as they crossed the sky together. That's such a rare sight that it's a treat even when it's not the first time. A few more modules and ISS will be unmistakably brighter than shuttle, but for now they're often about even except when particular phase angles catch the solar panels on ISS.
