beep-beep!
Jun. 4th, 2007 09:06 pmBack home I've managed to run into a coyote twice in the past month or so. The first one was prowling along a ditch and not watching carefully. I received a very, very annoyed when the coyote finally looked up and saw how close I was. Curiously enough I had just been listening to an mp3 of Caleb Stine and the Brakemen performing the song "Coyote" from their album October 29th.
Seeing a coyotl in Santa Cruz is a pleasant surprise, but not really unexpected, just not common.
Here on the boundary of the U of AZ, at dusk, I just saw the cartoon counterpart.
As I crossed the main drags of Tucson at sunset I saw it along the median, running back and forth, back and forth. It was not fazed by my approach. It was equally unfazed by the traffic zooming right next to it at high speed.
Cheers to you, road runner.
Now I just have to work a youtube video of Scarlett at Tara into a presentation on digital signatures for XML as used in astronomy.
