Remember when the Sooners were jumping the gun to cross the boundary of Indian Territory (now Oklahoma) and build a claim shanty and get to the federal registrar's shack to record the quarter-section boundary information?
Remember the Little House story of Charles Ingalls in line at the federal recorder's office when he was hoping to lay claim to the property south of De Smet?
Remember how he noted that some folks in line ahead of him were talking about the same quarter section?
Remember how Ingalls' wildcat friend (whom he had met while they were in south Kansas) started a fight to disrupt the order of the line?
Remember when the other new Sooners were committing atrocities of marrying and murdering in order to get claim to Native American lands which sat atop oil domes?
Let's hope the internet does not work so much like those uglier bits of history.
