when do goth tendencies begin to emerge?

When they are choosing their school day apparel my girls typically check with me about any meteorological contraindications, but my kindergartener still relies on me for style approval as well. Yesterday she asked me if it was okay to wear all black. I indicated that it would be fine.

If the trend continues I will have no qualms about the apparel, only about the character of her friends. Besides, if she chooses goth, any blame is probably due to me. I'm the one who has exposed her to the White Rats Morris.

Ever since I knew their first squire I've always admired the Rats to the point of wanting to be one. Perhaps it is more likely that I'll live it vicariously through my offspring.
